Installation notes:

This carset must be installed with the F1Ed program.
You can get it from the F1Ed homepage:
http://www.untold.freeserve.co.uk/f1gp/html/f1ed.html

Please change the directories and filenames in F1Ed to suit
your own computer.
Copy the helmets.dat file to the same directory as gpa.exe
(the main game directory - backup the old file first if you
want to keep it).

MAKE SURE THE GAME OPTIONS "RACE" MENU IS ALWAYS SET TO:
Opposition standard: Ace
Opposition spread: 1991 Levels
(The difficulty level should be changed with the AIG value in
F1Ed - NOT from the game option menu. See notes further below)
Also the qualifying period should be no less than 50 minutes
if you want to give the computer enough time to use it's 4
allowed tyre-sets.

- Driver number 26 and 27 are reserved for human players.
(You may replace Sebastian Bourdais or Tomas Enge with your
own name as well as naming your own team and engine)

- Because the 2002 FIA entry list have two teams less than
required by the game, I made the decition to "promote"
one of the top Formula 3000 teams, Petrobras. I've also provided
them with some more engine power than in real life to avoid
making traffic jams...

- The helmets data file contain the official (and free)
press-release graphics from FIA.

- All teams and drivers are colored and adjusted as close to
real life as possible using data from the 2001 and 2002 season.
(Some people may disagree and want their favorite driver or
team adjusted up though...). For game balance reasons, the BHP
for the top engine (Ferrari) is set to 760 BHP. This is close to
the real world 1996 Ferrari engine, which had 750 BHP (the 2001
engine had about 835 BHP).

- The AI Grip (AIG) and BHP values are adjusted to a medium difficulty.
This means a complete rookie should be able to compete with the
Minardi (or at least Petrobras) team without too much difficulty.
On the other hand, beating Michael Schumacher and becoming a
champion should provide some challenge for most gamers.

I recommend that you set the AI Grip-value in F1Ed to suit your
own playing level (always set the Grand Prix 1 game options
setting for "opposition level" to "Ace").
Recommended values with this carset are:
Rookie: AIG=8
Amateur:	AIG=10
Semi-Pro:	AIG=12 (Current value)
Pro: AIG=14
Ace: AIG=16
(Superace:	AIG=18)

Approximate pole position times using AIG=12:
Phoenix: 1:17.9
Interlagos:	1:13.0
Imola: 1:18.4
Monte Carlo:	1:16.7
Montreal:	1:16.6
Mexico: 1:13.9
Magny Cours:	1:11.0
Silverstone:	1:17.1
Hockenheim:	1:33.7
Hungaroring:	1:13.0
Spa: 1:43.0
Monza: 1:18.2
Estoril:	1:09.4
Barcelona:	1:15.4
Suzuka: 1:30.8
Adelaide:	1:11.1

Note: The computer cars seems the be more clever on some tracks
than others. There seems to be little to do about this except
trying to do your best whenever you can...

- The chances for crashing out of the race have been increased
slightly. This is to compensate for the game's lack of mechanical
failures which occur in real life, even to Ferrari. Of course,
the crash-victim could be your own car as well, so break early and
stay clear of that car in front of you! Also a crashed car will
stay on the track for 30 seconds, which I find more realistic.

Enjoy the race!
